Kurt Chapman, owner of Prime Physical Therapy, has provided physical therapy care in southern Wisconsin for more than 23 years. After working for a local healthcare system for four years (from 1997-2001), Kurt joined/developed a partnership and clinic group that eventually grew to 7-8 locations. At that point, Kurt decided to go "back to his roots" and open an independent private practice. Prime Physical Therapy was born!
Kurt is a graduate of UW La Crosse (Bachelor of Science - Physical Therapy) and Des Moines University (Doctor of Physical Therapy). In addition to his physical therapy degree(s)/training, Kurt holds the distinction of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Kurt is also a Certified Newton Running Coach. Kurt's clinical interests include: sports medicine, running analysis, exercise prescription, performance training, working with overhead athletes, and all things related to promoting individual and community health.
Kurt enjoys spending time with his wife, Sue, and their 4 children, and participating in triathlons (completing Ironman Wisconsin in 2018), outdoor curling (Cambridge Curling Club), trail running, and fly fishing. Kurt is the Head Coach of the Blackhawk Running Club, a youth running club for grades 4-8 in Fort Atkinson, WI.
